STRATEGY AND OPERATION
You have a plan to build a plant. Two o f your team members are going to head up operations. Another team member had a minor in business so he will be the CFO. Every company has to have a starting point but the team must also have a vision, a strategy in terms of when the founders step aside and the plan to grow is implemented. Most investors don't want to invest in a "one off".

Managing the engineering, construction and the manufacturing launch...do you have a team that includes the right EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) for your project, and other team members who have success and experience with your project type/technology. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Developing a product for a trade show, or working with a prototype developed in a lab does not necessarily lend itself to manufacturing. If your product does find a home with buyers and consumers what's your go to market strategy to get it into a distribution system? It's much easier here if your product is renewable energy and the energy company is your only customer, but what if you have a business to business product, or even more challenging a consumer product that is "sustainable"?
